Lawrence Library Events and Presentations · Meeting of August 28, 2026
PEPPERELL — The Neshoba Valley Artists Guild presented its history and methods at its Lawrence Library exhibit. Guild member Tanya Shepard introduced Peggy McWade, described as head of the guild, who said the group began with painters who wanted to show their work and now includes artists in pastel, wood, textiles and other two- and three-dimensional media. Members said each session ends with a critique in which artists put work up and the group offers suggestions, and that Monday sessions involve no formal teaching.
A guild member said the group started with perhaps four or five painters and restarted with two or three at a new Groton senior center. Members said storage is "very limited." No votes were taken.
