Pepperell Planning Board approves two ANR plans, appoints affordable housing member

PEPPERELL — November 25, 2019 — Pepperell Planning Board approves two land-division plans and seats a new affordable housing member. The board unanimously endorsed an Approval Not Required plan at the end of Pierce Street, splitting a previously non-buildable parcel into four lots, with Lot 6 immediately eligible for a building permit and a common-driveway special permit application expected before Christmas. Kenneth Laney of Cornerstone Land Consultants, representing the developer, said the 750-foot common driveway would serve a future cul-de-sac and told the board the developer hopes "to get a foundation in this winter." A second ANR for land on Bacon Street and Mingle Circle was also approved unanimously. The board appointed Laura Woodward of 14A Cottage Street — a Pittsburgh transplant and nonprofit management veteran now working in Littleton — to the Affordable Housing Committee, noting the town sits at roughly 3 percent affordable housing inventory against the state's 10 percent mandate. A public hearing on 110 Robinson Road at Robinson Hollow was continued to December 2, and a board member reported the Reedy Meadows subdivision road freshly paved and in apparent progress toward a spring Town Meeting road-acceptance article.
