Pepperell Planning Board approves two land-division plans, sets May hearing date

PEPPERELL — March 27, 2017 — Pepperell Planning Board endorses two subdivision plans and defers open-space bylaw discussion to April 10. The board unanimously approved Approval Not Required plans for 49 South Road, submitted by Louise Taylor, and for 34 Shirley Street, known as the Scotch Pine Ponds property, after Town Planner Steve Parker guided members through the required technical checklist for each plan; both parcels were confirmed to exceed the town's 150-foot frontage minimum. A discussion of the town's Open Space and Incentive Development bylaw was tabled after new paperwork from the Nashua River Watershed Association arrived too late for the meeting and town counsel was unable to attend. A related special permit public hearing, initially floated for May 8, was moved to May 22 to satisfy the mandatory 35-day department-head comment period and avoid a potential conflict with Town Meeting.
