Pepperell Planning Board backs construction manager for vacant board seat

PEPPERELL — January 17, 2023 — Pepperell Planning Board unanimously recommends construction professional Brooke Rampond to fill its vacant seat. The board voted 4-0 at its January 17 meeting to advance Rampond's application to a joint appointment meeting with the Select Board on January 23 at 6:50 p.m. Rampond, of 5 Countryside Road, has nearly 20 years in construction and currently manages projects at Harvard Business School as an owner's representative for Burlington-based consulting firm CSL. The board also continued its as-built review of 1-6 Scotch Pine Farm Way to February 6, citing unresolved questions about the engineer's certification method for underground drain locations, stormwater capacity for two enlarged building footprints, and whether the fire truck turnaround — reconfigured in December — can be verified by an actual vehicle test. Building Commissioner Bentley Hargett noted that roof drain locations have never been independently confirmed, leaving future homeowners with no reliable maintenance reference.
