Pepperell Planning Board extends Tucker Street multi-family permit two more years

PEPPERELL — May 8, 2017 — Pepperell Planning Board votes to extend stalled Tucker Street housing permit and clears Pepperell Pines title defect. The board unanimously approved a two-year extension of a special permit for a multi-family residential development at 17, 19, and 19B Tucker Street, originally issued in 2010 and set to expire in August 2017; town regulations cap any single extension at two years. Consultant Jack of Cornerstone Land Consultants told the board the project had been on hold since the economic downturn and that Tucker Street's recent repaving triggered the Highway Department's informal five-year moratorium on road cuts. The board also voted unanimously to release subdivision covenants on lots 239 and 240 in the Pepperell Pines development, resolving a title defect on two condominium units sold roughly three years earlier; Town Counsel had reviewed and approved the Form J release documents in advance. A public hearing on a separate application by John Parris to convert 3 James Circle from a single-family to a two-family dwelling was set for June 19 at 7:15 p.m. Officer elections were deferred to the May 22 meeting.
