PEPPERELL — April 22, 2026 — Pepperell Select Board unanimously approves all-alcohol liquor license for Main Street restaurant. The board voted without objection Wednesday night to approve an all-alcoholic-beverages license for Francesca Avalon, doing business as Brandy Steiner, at 166-170 Main Street, acting under Massachusetts General Law Chapter 138, Section 15A. Avalon told board members that customers had repeatedly asked whether she serves alcohol and that she expects the addition to attract brunch-focused visitors from surrounding towns, citing the property's proximity to a nearby rail trail. One compliance item — a security and fire alarm system controlled by the building's landlords — remained open at the time of the vote; staff said the fire chief is expected to return within approximately 30 days, and the board expects that sign-off to coincide with review by the state Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission, to which the application now advances for an independent inspection before any alcohol service may begin.
