Pepperell Planning Board closes Robinson Hollow hearing, schedules decision for February 24

PEPPERELL — February 3, 2020 — Pepperell Planning Board unanimously closes public hearing on Robinson Hollow subdivision after developer addresses all outstanding engineering concerns. The board voted to end the continued hearing on the Landwest Inc. proposal for a residential subdivision at 110 South Road after Devin Howe of Beale Associates Incorporated presented revised plans meeting DPW Director Ken Kalinowski's requirements, confirmed in a January 30 memo read into the record. Revisions include removal of all curb breaks, a switch from Cape Cod-style to sloped granite curbing, a redesigned stormwater system eliminating both a sediment forebay and a clog-prone outlet control structure, removal of a mailbox bump-out at the site entrance, and a 12-foot DPW maintenance access strip along the detention basin. Town Planner Lisa Davis's draft subdivision decision, now under town counsel review, is expected on the February 24 agenda — the project's first formal action since a similar proposal appeared before the board in approximately 2012.
