Pepperell Youth Soccer League sets travel-team evaluation dates and honors 2025 award winners.

PEPPERELL -- Youth soccer was the lone item on the local sports docket for the week of July 13-19, with no Pepperell High School contests reported and no town recreation or community-league news posted to available sources.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- The Pepperell Youth Soccer League (PYSL) announced that dates have been set for mandatory player evaluations ahead of the 2026 fall and 2027 spring travel soccer seasons. The league asked families to "mark their calendars" and said children planning to play travel soccer in either season should attend.

PYSL also recognized its 2025 annual award winners. Josh Adams received the 13th annual Anthony Ciccone Award, and Lily Gouveia received the 11th annual Melissa D'eon Award. Olivia Peterson and Rebekah Sylvester jointly received the 2025 Women's Leadership Award, and Brayden Boucher received the 2025 Men's Leadership Award. Each recipient received a $750 check, according to the league.

PYSL, which serves boys and girls from age 2 through high school, said registration for the fall 2026 season is open. The league's board holds meetings open to the public, with upcoming sessions scheduled at The Fitz.
