The commission, meeting remotely on August 20, waited several minutes for the project representative from Billis and Roy before reviewing the submitted plan without them and finding no issues — the replacement system keeps all work outside the 50-foot wetland buffer, an improvement over the existing system, which members said sits roughly 30 feet from the wetlands. Conservation Agent Paula also reported that a DEP superseding order of conditions appeal by abutter Kelly Kinney at 11 Prescott Street was dismissed on timeliness grounds, clearing construction to proceed. The commission's state-funded water chestnut treatment program concluded its penultimate treatment of the season, with a final session scheduled for August 23 at no cost to the town. The September 10 meeting is canceled; the commission's next session is September 24.
