Pepperell Conservation Commission Continues Main Street Compliance Case, Cites Unpermitted Paving

PEPPERELL — March 18, 2026 — Pepperell Conservation Commission continues two permit cases and approves one amended order at March 18 meeting. The commission voted unanimously to continue a certificate of compliance request for Kazajian Enterprises Inc. at 25 12 Main Street after determining that approximately 282 square feet of unauthorized impervious pavement within the 100-foot wetland buffer must be removed and formally permitted before the item can close; the chair declared the commission "done with the build it and ask for forgiveness" approach and directed the applicant to file a Request for Determination of Applicability. In a separate action, commissioners unanimously approved an amended order of conditions for BSC Group's project at 200 Ames Pond Drive, accepting minor layout changes including relocation of an eyewash station and rotation of a liquid nitrogen tank pad, after applicants drew praise for coming forward proactively before breaking ground. The commission also continued a Notice of Intent and land disturbance application from AJM Construction for a proposed 14-unit residential and office redevelopment at the long-vacant 1325 Main Street site to April 22, pending resolution of outstanding peer review comments from engineering firm TEC and sign-off from the Department of Public Works.
