Pepperell Community Preservation Committee adopts FY2027 calendar, delays leadership vote over absences. Chair Bob Cataldo and Clerk Kathy Pries led the quorum of four, unanimously approving $875 in Community Preservation Coalition dues and minutes from three prior meetings. The panel reported $787,459 approved over three years against roughly $1 million received, leaving about $220,000 available, and is weighing a matching-funds requirement after an informal group raising money for a Colonel Prescott statue said it had collected $4,000 privately but was not yet an official nonprofit.
Cataldo said stalled projects should face public scrutiny at town meeting: "It isn't. It's black or white. You didn't do it.
You're going to get shamed." Members also debated tightening bid requirements after cost disputes on recent applications, and postponed the vote on FY2027 board positions because two of six members, Al Patenaude and Rob Rand, were absent.
