Pepperell Selectmen Unanimously Approve Two-Year Contract for Fire Chief

PEPPERELL — June 26, 2017 — Pepperell Selectmen approve two-year contract for Fire Chief after closed-door session. The Board of Selectmen voted 3-0 Monday evening to ratify an employment contract with the town's Fire Chief following a 24-minute executive session convened under Massachusetts Open Meeting Law Section 2. The contract runs from March 20, 2017, through March 19, 2019, backdating terms by more than three months to align with the board's prior directive. The board also authorized the Town Administrator and Labor Counsel to make any final board-approved adjustments and prepare the contract for signature under Town Charter Section 4-2. Specific compensation terms were not disclosed during the public session.
