Pepperell Conservation Commission Clears Two Buffer-Zone Home Projects in Single Meeting

PEPPERELL — March 2, 2021 — Pepperell Conservation Commission approved two buffer-zone construction projects and heard a formal pitch to form a Community Preservation Act committee at its March 2 meeting. The commission voted unanimously to issue negative determinations for a single-family house and driveway proposed by Jamie Baker at 3 Cheyenne Road and a low-pressure sewer connection for a new house at 5A Maple Street filed by Jason Fenton, represented by Ryan Proctor of Doucet and Roy Civil Design Group. Select Board member Margaret Scarsdale secured a unanimous vote to appoint conservation administrator Paula to the community leadership team for a Local Rapid Recovery Planning Grant, with work required by June 30, 2021. Deb Fountain of the master plan implementation team told the commission that neighboring Groton has collected nearly $4 million and Dunstable more than $5 million through the Community Preservation Act, and said four of the five required board representatives were already on board, with only the Recreation Committee's vote outstanding before a formal charge goes to the Select Board.
