Pepperell Conservation Commission Continues Hyder Wetland Hearing to January, Issues Three Compliance Certificates

PEPPERELL — December 11, 2018 — Pepperell Conservation Commission continues single-family home hearing while issuing three compliance certificates. At its December 11 meeting, the commission continued the public hearing on a Notice of Intent filed by applicant Eric Hyder for a house, garage, well, septic, and driveway on a lot encumbered by a conservation restriction easement, accepting a new engineering team from Cornerstone Land Consultants that presented a conceptual driveway realignment reducing proposed bordering vegetated wetland fill from 2,900 square feet to 1,302 square feet. Consultant Ken Ablany told commissioners the change would require amending the conservation restriction through the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs and the Board of Selectmen, and the hearing was continued to January 22, 2019. The commission also voted unanimously to approve a $2,300 mowing invoice for the biennial cutting of the 20-acre Heels Street Orchard meadow, funded through the Wildlife Habitat Improvement Program account carrying a balance of $10,502.15. Three certificates of compliance were issued for long-standing DEP orders at 44-48 Brookline Street (file 259-381), 85-87 River Road (file 259-743), and 88 Groton Street (file 259-663).
