PEPPERELL — The Invasive and Native Plant Advisory Committee set a Nov. 7 invasive-plant cleanup at the Rotary garden. Four members approved the Sept. 22 minutes and agreed on 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. for the cleanup. Members heard that the Climate Change Committee is planning a prescribed burn at the Fitz Grounds with Shalomia Lightfoot, and that six or seven school visits at Varner Brook Elementary are drafted.
A member said the committee requested $600 from the Pepperell Cultural Council, with a decision expected in December. Members also discussed a Wild and Scenic grant for Phragmites treatment, and a relayed resident call about town wetlands, where "we need to follow the right channels."
